Lisa's first experience of yoga was more than 40 years ago when her father put her in headstands and balanced china plates on the soles of her feet. In her thirties, Lisa took up yoga to find its true essence: to bring balance into her life!
More than two decades of yoga have included her training with some of the top teachers in mindfulness, creative yoga, including California’s Erich Schiffman (Freedom Style Yoga), India’s TKV Desikachar (Viniyoga), and many more teachers across North America, such as the Esther Myers Studio where she is completing her 750 hour training in the mindfulness-based Scaravelli Yoga.
After years of illness from pesticide poisoning and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, Lisa, a former runner, cyclist, figure skater and squash player who needed a break from strenuous sports, finally found it in yoga--a transformational practice which would help her heal body and soul--and she never looked back. In gratitude to and love for the practice and way of life , she now teaches others who are beginners, healing from illness, or those just wanting to create a more creative, exploratory, individualized practice.
As both a yoga teacher and reiki master (available to give and teach reiki at the centre), Lisa sees both as methods of “soul retrieval” on the deepest level, and enjoys teaching youth and adults of all ages and levels: from beginners to novices, teens to elderly, healthy and less-healthy, adjusting her classes for the needs of each. Classes are designed to reduce the stress in the body and mind, and to help each student feel more connected to their true selves.

Her YOGA AND WRITING class involves periods of gentle yoga, meditation and writing, where the writing includes writing prompts, journaling, and writing anything you desire.
Her FULL and NEW MOON/MANIFESTATION YOGA classes teach soulful, gentle yoga with various ways to help manifest what we desire in the wake of this special moon.
Her MEDITATION AND BREATH classes teach various types of meditation and pranayama to provide a rounded practice for avid yogis.
